Abstract

Antibiotic resistance is a major global health threat with significant implications for morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs. Globally, misuse and overuse of antibiotics in humans, animals, and agriculture are accelerating resistance development, undermining effective treatment of infections and threatening future public health gains. This paper synthesizes evidence based strategies to manage antibiotic resistance from a global perspective. Strategies include antimicrobial stewardship programs, evidence based surveillance systems, infection prevention and control practices, enhancing rapid diagnostics, and fostering international collaboration under a One Health framework. Implementation challenges and policy implications for diverse settings are discussed. Strengthening global cooperation and coordinated action is essential to preserve antibiotic efficacy and safeguard health worldwide
