Refund Policy

World Journal of Medicine Evidence (WJME) operates as an open-access, non-refundable publishing service. Since significant editorial, review, and processing resources are utilized during the submission and publication workflow, the following refund guidelines apply:

  1. Article Processing Charges (APC)
  • All APC payments are final and non-refundable once the manuscript has entered the editorial or review process.
  • APC covers costs related to peer review, editorial handling, online hosting, indexing, and long-term archiving.
  1. Overpayment or Duplicate Payment
  • In cases of accidental overpayment or duplicate payment, the extra amount will be refunded within 30 working days after proper verification.
  • Authors must provide proof of payment for processing such refunds.
  1. Withdrawal after Payment
  • If authors withdraw a manuscript before peer review begins, they may be eligible for a partial refund (up to 50%), depending on administrative costs already incurred.
  • Withdrawal after peer review or acceptance does not qualify for any refund.
  1. Technical Issues
  • If a technical error results in a failed payment or duplicate transaction, the finance team will process a full refund after verification.
  1. No Refund in Cases of:
  • Rejection after peer review.
  • Author-initiated withdrawal without valid reason.
  • Retraction of a published article due to ethical violations.
  1. Refund Process
  • Authors must send a written request to the editorial office with payment proof and bank details.
  • Approved refunds will be processed through the original mode of payment.
  • The timeline for refunds may vary depending on bank or payment gateway policies.
