The COVID-19 pandemic has had profound effects on global mental health, with widespread increases in anxiety, depression, and other psychological conditions. With the sudden disruption to in-person healthcare services, telehealth emerged as a key tool in maintaining access to mental health care. This article reviews the impact of telehealth on mental health outcomes during the pandemic, focusing on its effectiveness, accessibility, and patient satisfaction. The review synthesizes evidence from studies published between 2020 and 2025, showing that telehealth has proven effective in providing psychological support, reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, and improving overall mental health outcomes. However, challenges such as technology access, digital literacy, and concerns about the therapeutic relationship persist. This article highlights both the benefits and limitations of telehealth for mental health care during a global health crisis and suggests future directions for its integration into routine mental health services.
