MEDISENSE AND GENOMIC MEDICINE: ADVANCING PRECISION HEALTHCARE
Keywords:
Genomic Medicine, Precision Healthcare, Medisense, Personalized TreatmentAbstract
The integration of genomic medicine into healthcare has transformed the paradigm of treatment from generalized approaches to individualized, precision-based interventions. In Pakistan, where healthcare challenges include delayed diagnoses, rising chronic disease burdens, and limited access to specialized care, genomic innovations hold significant promise. Medisense, as a digital healthcare platform, enhances the potential of genomic medicine by combining artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, and electronic health record (EHR) integration to provide more precise diagnostics, tailored treatments, and predictive risk assessments.
This article explores how Medisense can advance precision healthcare through the application of genomic medicine. Four major aspects are analyzed: (1) integration of genomics with patient health data, (2) AI-driven drug response predictions, (3) risk assessment and early disease detection, and (4) ethical and infrastructural challenges in Pakistan. Graphical illustrations are provided to demonstrate adoption trends, benefits distribution, and barriers. The findings highlight that while genomic medicine powered by Medisense can revolutionize healthcare in Pakistan, significant investments in infrastructure, policy, and education are required to fully realize its potential.
